The parish of Glatton and the Fenland Trust will welcome the Bishop of Huntingdon on Sunday 9th September to the Beverley Nichols Literary Festival. The The Rt Revd Dr David Thomson’s visit coincides with what would have been the 120th birthday of the author, journalist and early campaigner for tolerance of minority groups who made Glatton his home between 1928 and 1937.

The weekend events culminate in a literary exhibition with talk by Terry Brignall MBE, a service of thanksgiving at St Nicholas Church and the dedication of a commemorative plaque on Sunday. Additional events include a 1930s dance at the village hall (already a sell-out), weekend long beer festival at the Addison Arms (with a specially brewed Beverley Nichols ale) and a classic car show on Sunday.
